Denver home lockouts, rekeying and lock changes
Locked out of your house
If you are locked out of your home in Denver, Lakewood or Aurora, call us with your address and the type of door and lock. We will confirm availability within our 6 AM – 11 PM hours and give you an arrival estimate and quote before a technician heads your way.
For everyone's safety we ask for proof that you live at or are authorized to access the property, such as an ID with the address or a lease, before opening the door.
Rekeying vs. changing your locks
Rekeying changes the pins inside your existing lock so old keys stop working and a new key does. It is usually the practical choice when your hardware still works well, for example after moving into a new home, losing a key or ending a tenancy.
Replacing the lock makes more sense when the hardware is damaged, worn, after a break-in, or when you want a different style such as a new deadbolt or smart lock. Replacement is also needed when existing locks are incompatible with the key system you want. Your technician can explain which option fits your doors.

Deadbolts, smart locks and other home hardware
We install deadbolts and compatible smart locks and service garage, window, gate and mailbox locks. Sliding glass door lock repair and broken key extraction are also part of our residential work.
Before buying a smart lock, share its exact model and check the manufacturer’s door-thickness, bore and backset requirements. Existing door preparation, alignment and clearance can affect installation; ask whether adjustment and setup are included in the quote.
One-key convenience and authorized rental access
Keying several doors alike is an option only when their cylinders and keyways are compatible. List the doors and bring an existing working key if available; ask which cylinders can be retained and which would need replacement, and confirm the number of new keys.
For a rental, coordinate entry and changes with the authorized owner or manager and affected occupants. Identify who approves the total and who meets the technician. At completion, test each new key and the latch with the technician and agree who receives the keys; keep access records privately.
Common questions
How much does it cost to rekey a house?
The quote depends on the number and type of cylinders, their condition, keying requirements, key count and visit location or time. Ask for an itemized total for the service call, labor, keys, hardware and applicable charges before approving work.
Can you install smart locks?
Share the exact smart lock model and your door dimensions or photos before purchasing or scheduling. Installation depends on the door preparation, thickness, latch alignment and manufacturer requirements; customer-purchased hardware needs the same fit check.
Do you provide keys for the new locks?
Confirm how many keys you need and whether cutting and key blanks are included in the itemized quote. Compatible cylinders may be keyed alike; different keyways or hardware may require separate keys or replacement cylinders.
